The End of Sockeye Salmon?
A massive mine proposal could wipe out half of the world's remaining wild population. Pebble Mine is set to become the largest open pit mine in North America. Unfortunately it would sit at the headwaters of the world's greatest remaining salmon fishery and threaten catastrophic consequences for the fish population. Fishermen, environmentalists and native people are fighting back, asking the EPA to intervene and stop the copper mine before it's too late.
